I bought this ring back in November. In my first review I commented on the size of the ring. Well now I have been wearing it for five months. The painted enamel red,white and blue has chipped off.All of it gone. It looked horrible.So I took a black Sharpie Marker and filled in the area where the paint was. This made the eagle stand out with the now black background which was once red, white, and blue.Believe it or not I think it looks better. Go figure.Save your money.

Ok here's the deal.The ring is good looking and stylish. However,when I opened the box, I was disappointed in the overall size of the ring.Because of this, the lettering font size around the bezel, "EAGLE SCOUT BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA" is hard to read.That is a bunch of letters to put on there in the first place.If the overall size of the ring was closer to a college Grad ring ,you could use a larger font and one would be abel to read the statement easier.This also applies to the engraving on the inside.I can barely see what is written.You have the name of the maker carved in deep and large.Why can't you youse the same size font on the etching process.I have to hold the ring at a certain angle and try to reflect light in there to find what was written.It needs to be beefed up a bit.

Price high for average ring. The requested inscription inside was laser cut, ultra light. The interior knot is excellent, as well as outside dates. Colors are good, light material, lacks gleam. Local jeweler measured, agent reccomended 1/2 size up because of girth on ring. Fit is too loose debating what to do now.

My son chose this over a High School class ring. It is not flashy, is a nice heavy metal and is easily identifiable as an Eagle Scout ring. We liked that we could put his Troop number on the outside, along with the year he earned his rank. Very good size for a young man's hand (my son is six feet tall). The price was very reasonable. Aside from the font being too small to read on the inside of the ring I have no complaints at all.

Just arrived home from my son's Eagle court of honor where his Dad and I presented the ring to him. It was a nice touch. The ring is one he will wear for many years to come well into his older adultood (once an Eagle always an Eagle). It is versatile and can be worn everyday but is stylish enough for dress.
